Forgotten Fighters has one goal: Raise awareness that even younger women are at risk for breast cancer without having common risk factors or any family history.
Today, the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force recommendation states that women should not be screened for breast cancer until age 50 if they don’t have a family history. Our goal is to empower women to be their own breast advocate, and to push for the implementation of early detection measures in younger women, giving those who will face a journey with breast cancer their best fighting chance at beating the disease.
